I wish I knew a blog where I could get a pep talk. In the meantime, maybe I’ll watch The Hurt Locker again.

Speaking of anxious introspection, I just read No Country for Old Men by Cormac McCarthy. Every bit as terrifying as the movie, with extra space for self-examination.

The Messenger is a good companion piece to The Hurt Locker – another aspect to the soldiering and after effects of war. It’s a tough look at how hard it is for men to put down their shields. Yikes, what we do to each other in the name of identity.

Thank you! It’s been nutty here too. I was just thinking about our elusive cup of coffee.
