tu b’shvat: the roots


Jewish Arbor Day starts Tuesday evening and into Wednesday. The holiday celebrates trees and the life sustaining fruits harvested from their branches. Branches and fruits are interesting but I am finding roots to be a wonderful metaphor – pulling nourishment from deep within the earth, from an invisible force.
