Sketchbook
I’ve been working on my freelance marketing business lately and haven’t had time to take my images from sketchbook to finished art. It feels like I am storing up all these bits of ideas which will someday make their way into a story.
This is a page of notes from a children’s book illustration conference I attended on Sunday. I picked up a few tips but it always comes back down to just doing the work…
a sketch
Yes, I still exist but I am buried in work. I dug up a drawing from 3 weeks ago to remind myself that I like to do this too. It’s the opening page to my sketchbook. Hopefully, more to come….
the space between
I have been thinking about how relationship can occur in what appears to be the empty space between us. When we are not together in the room but in our thoughts and ideas about each other.
identity map
I’m far from my scanner and what I used to call home. My iPhone on the bed seems adequate for now.
If it’s blurry, then I have captured the moment perfectly.
err…
Sorry to have disappeared for so long. Life has taken many twists and turns over the last few months and I usually don’t do much art when the ground is heaving this much. This is a drawing that I started a month ago and finished today. It’s not deep or filled with hidden meanings but it sure was nice to remember how to do this.
